I really didn't like this.
You play as this father who is a refugee and tries to make it to Europe to see his daughter again. You don't have choice in actions tho. You can not play as a good person, no you just kill everybody. They don't even attack you first, you are the one that ALWAYS hits first. Is this setting a really weird image of refugees? In my opinion it does. Because it tries to be a realistic story I guess, but then it basically shows those people as... Thieves and murderers.
You just go around steal♥♥♥♥♥♥(I really didn't like this.

You just go around steal♥♥♥♥♥♥(you don't HAVE to steal tho), everyone has some sick selfmade weapons, kill other refugees that went crazy, eat some human meat if you want or need to, rob other refugees, steal from local shops, kill some child soldiers, attack those protestors that ask you to turn around but they don't wanna fight you and also kill that police officer that wants to search your pockets.
Like I probably killed a hundered people if not more in one playthrough JUST because this father tought that his life and him getting back with his family was more important than all of those people.
The gameplay itself didn't really do anything. You walk and collect stuff that lays on the ground, you can trade but not really because you can't make on offer, they tell you what they want and what you would get. If you don't have what they want it's your loss. It's repetitve and boring.
The battle system is boring, the crafting system is okay but for better weapons you need A LOT of stuff like metal which you have no control over getting it or not.
No choices made, you just do whatever the game wants you to do. Like go into the creepy slaughterhouse were you can hear screams in the distant and it smells really bad.
Also every animal just attacks, just like in real life, foxes and jackals are walking up and down the street until they meet you so they can kill you.
I also really didn't like how they overused the character designs. Like there would be the same lady, three times just standing next to each other. Only two types of protestors I think that you would kill over and over again. The fighting animations were not as good for some weapons, like who stabs with a baseball bat. The NPCs you met always said the same stuff, basic gameplay information that is just freaking boring. It's a lot of small things that just make everything a bit worse.
Wanna know what game did this civil war scenario REALLY good? "This War of Mine"
If you are into that kind of story and setting try "This War of Mine" and not this one here it just feels cheap.
