WELCOME TO HOVERGREASE ALPHA

HoverGrease is a competitive multiplayer top down arena shooter where genetically enhanced Anthro influencers blast each other for freedom. 

The action from HoverGrease takes place in a biologically advanced dystopian future Earth.  At the end of the 22nd century, advancements in bio-engineering allows to cure almost any terminal disease through mix-and-match of genes from any living creatures with human DNA. The procedure is mostly used as a last result, as most of the time it results in abnormalities and disfigurations.

On a few rare occasions, the altering of DNA has yielded some highly desired results, where the balance of human DNA with genes from a single animal resulted in aesthetically pleasing specimens — some even attractive / good looking creatures. These lucky ones have become overnight sensations living a life of public attention — nicknamed Anthro Influencers. Little does the public know about the reality of their contracts with Big Corp Inc., the world's leading company in DNA altering, who claims to have full control over the results. Big Corp Inc. is looking to change the public perceptions of DNA altering by sponsoring an Anthro-only tournament as a PR stunt, and you are invited to join!

Play as Kimmy Frog, Johnny Cock-Head, Foxy BonBon, Lab-Rat Perry or as Piggy Smith (the first 5 Anthro Influencers revealed out of the 12 character roster) and blast your way to freedom!

WHY ALPHA? What's missing in the Alpha version?

There are only 2 characters available, with equal stats. The game is limited to only one map (Skyrise), however, 3 game modes will be available: F4A (Free for All), 4v4 Deathmatch and 4v4 Elimination. Team objective-based game modes are implemented, but unavailable. Only 6 weapons are available on the map.

What are our goals for the Alpha Release?

We are a 2 persons indie-developer team,  so our ability to scrutinise the gameplay both for network errors and bug reporting is limited. We are hoping to get the community's help for quality assurance.  We are also looking for advice on making the gameplay better, so feedback is highly appreciated and welcome.

Can anyone join the Alpha?

Yes, but... Currently our servers can only hold 10-15 simultaneous matches running in parallel, so we are limiting the Alpha sign-up to 1000 registered users, on a first-come, first-served basis.
