About

Hypatia moves Virtual Reality beyond the game with a social and immersive world that brings the magic of an infinitely creative space to VR. This first release of a small corner of our city is a glimpse at what’s to come.

The pioneering citizens of Hypatia will find incredible activities that will entertain them for hours on end. We invite everyone to play with our painting tools in environments where fun is let loose. What’s more, it’s all in a shared space where visitors can talk with one another and explore everything from the fantastic to the impossible.

Our museum will take you through the looking glass where art may not be what it seems at first glance; we invite you to step right in. Next, visit our interactive theater where you can put yourself on the stage in a vaudeville style production of your making. Don’t feel like being an actor? Maybe you’d like some puzzle solving in our Cogwheel Garden where not only might you learn something about gears, but you might just reach the top of the tower to take off in a sky boat.

Boats! We’ve got that covered too over at our Waterfront. Get ready for a workout should you feel up to the task. We guarantee you’ll be huffing and puffing to win this race. There are hidden places to explore too, but if we told you what they were and what you’d be doing we’d spoil the surprise.

Speaking of surprises, who’s not awed by the delight of watching fireworks on a summer night? Visit Kapow Lake to fire off all kinds of fireworks. Along the way you can learn something about the chemistry of these beautiful bursts of color in the night sky as you build your own virtual fireworks.

Step into Paintville, the first multi-dimensional virtual coloring book. You’ll have an entire neighborhood to paint everything from the sky to your friends. Chaos will run riot as buckets of paint and graffiti color this corner of the world in a palette shaken right out of the rainbow. The only thing missing is unicorns. Nope, we’ve got them too….and cats. Need pictures of cats and unicorns? There are currently four types of virtual cameras to take and share pictures with. From the original 1865 Daguerreotype camera to a Polaroid or the first digital camera, the Dycam.

Best of all, this entire experience is growing into a massive collaborative social space where the citizens of Hypatia are the actors and the story in this evolving new city of the future is happening right before your eyes. So join us in Hypatia where creativity is the currency and you are on center stage in a new world of Virtual Reality.

Hypatia reviews and comments

Hypatia, my first Review, where Thumbs down is not enough. It undoubtedly has its Appeal, but not at the Price. * Addendum: It is now free of charge, therefore to Thumbs up;) However, there seem to Be problems more often in recent Times that you can't leave the subway (Initial room) occasionally (maybe server Problems), hope that's fixed Soon ... Hypatia is a social app. A really nicely designed city with Attention to Detail is waiting to be discovered. And there's a Lot to discover. From the Theatre where you perform your own little Stage play, a Museum with walk-in images and Lifelike dinosaurs, a Boat Trip across the Canal, a Maze that leads to an Airship after a long Confusion, a City as a Canvas for your own Paintings, a talking Statue and much more ... On my Visit, luckily, I ran into the Arms of the Developers, and so had Insight into a Lot of hidden Little things, and I certainly haven't discovered everything yet. Unfortunately, however, we are already coming to my Point of Criticism. Often the Developers are the only People you encounter, if anyone is there at all. Unfortunately, Hypatia is not overcrowded, as are so many VR games. But this is really deadly with a social App, because you can't start much on your own After the "Journey of discovery." The Developers are optimistic, but whether I should share this Enthusiasm, I don't quite know. For the Price, with the best Will, I can't imagine Hypatia once becoming what it wants to be, a populated World where People interact, have Fun together and drive Mischief. I give the Thumbs up because price is my biggest Criticism. Hypatia is definitely worth a Look when visiting it with several People, also a real Fun and great Trip. But I wouldn't buy it at Full Price, even if I wish developers well. Greeting Ziffi Ziffi as Curator: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/5837414/

Early Access Review Conclusion from the Lemon Doctor gameplay and Test Video: https://youtu.be/r2_gn4WFS3o gaming experience: It'S best to watch the Video above that shows a lot. Calling Hypatia a game is probably not the most appropriate Term for this Experience. It is better to name Hypatia As an Experience inside of a Social Network. In Hypatia You get a city pressed on the Lens that looks really beautiful, and in which you can move freely, within the Possibilities. Even if it doesn't seem that way at first, there is a lot to discover in this City. Meeting friends was really, really easy. You set a Name and design your Avatar. Then off to the City and meet up with Friends or make new acquaintances. As it stands, a lot of Things are hidden in this City. You could claim it is a Nest full of "Easter Eggs" So you can take a Piece of Soap in the Museum to rub a Painting and thus open a Portal into another Room. Also, if you solve Puzzles long enough, there is the Possibility to tackle a Labyrinth, climb and crank in the end to reach an Air Bot to fly high above the Clouds above the City. These Things are made really cool. Unfortunately, even if I had a lot of Fun in Hypatia, I lacked the Opportunity to play "Mini Games." So little Games that you could play either against each other or in a Group. But if you know, I just haven't found these Games. The best way to fill this Treasure with your presence is to live. If you would like to visit the City with German-speaking people, it is best to report on the Discord link of the German VR Community of VoodooDE: HTTPS://DISCORD.GG/SP9PGVF Played with: HTC Vive Moving Profiles: This Game offers various Options from Teleport through free Movement to "step." Special Features: Hypatia Has a Madman's social Potential. Those who like to solve Puzzles in the Group and are looking for Easter Eggs will definitely be happy. Pro:-Social Network-Main menu with Game settings available-Game Pass-Control (Easily customizable)-Multiplayer-Gosse Explorable World-Many Puzzles-Beautiful liquid graphics Counter:-Currently Not many Users-found too few Mini games-Respawn Opportunities too poorly solved. -Funny User Profile. (No Registration required) Names can be changed freely at any time. I can't yet estimate how that affects the Friends list. Well playable in current Version?: I had very few Problems (suddenly standing in a Wall and not getting out so easily) Played and tested with: I7 7700K Nvidia GTX 1080 16GB RAM
