Excellent arena brawler with lots of good ideas and a really top sound and Visual vibe.
To see at the level of the follow-up, at the launch the game is a bit poor in content (to the limit the characters it changes nothing, but more modes of games and more maps that would be really welcome).
I still recommend it without a problem, it is really well screwed up in its genre.

Very good game, a lot of action, a kind of mix between battlerite and fighting game in the sense that Battlerite is closer to other mobas with a cooldown management, etc, while this game is more in action/reaction.
A very nice retro atmosphere with good music and good scenery.
However, the menu for skins/keybind is hard enough to find (you have to click on its name once the character is selected).
At the present time, there are 4 different perso and 6 maps.
The bots are well programmed and bring a good challenge (tried as an expert).

Huge potential. This is how I can summarize hyper jam at the time of its release.
An arena PVP worthy of a Battlerite with Retrowave sauce.
Here I am at an hour of play that I already feel the routine with a cruel lack of content and option (we unlock skins and replicas that we do not know how to access/no keybindings, seriously?) while the very basis of the gameplay is really good and gratifying. Especially the counter system that can return any attack by having the right timing.
The fact that it is playable online or locally with or without bot is a generous way to exploit a maximum of weapons, moves, against and changes of rules (on-off weapon or bonuses, unlimited ammo, score limit).
Silly mistakes and a light content, certainly a solid gameplay that pushes the skill, OK, but the Visual atmosphere as sound is a real gift for lovers or lover of retrowave. The fights are only better with Carpenter Brut, dance with the dead or Meteor (the midnight would be welcome) that remind us of all the fantasized imaginations of the years 80 with a vision of cyberpunk stuffed with neon and fluorescent colors.
THE Extras: + the exhilarating and accessible gameplay + the well thought out bonus system + instant replay + the Visual ambience + the sound ambiance (Carpenter Brut, dance with the dead or meteor) + local mode with game customization + price (€10 still) LESS:-cruel lack of content-missing options (KeyBinding, cosmetic)-not enough online player-only 4 characters a very good base that will certainly serve as a breeding ground for other games (as did Battlerite) but it is clear that this Hyper jam may be out at the wrong time, but the title though generous in the background needs to be much more complete than at the time I write these words.
On those, I go back to the field to give blows of hammers while reviewing rocket fire.
