Created by former professional gamers and AAA developers, Imperatum is an Action RPG set in a future Sci-Fi universe.
The game focuses on the core ARPG 'trinity' mechanics of fast-paced combat, deep character customization and tons of loot!
Key Features
- Intense combat - A hallmark of this genre and Imperatum delivers! Battle your way through 8 levels and more than a dozen different enemy types!
- Character customization - Familiar stat and skill allocation with a twist. Skills can be used in active mode or slotted in other skills for a passive effect. Want your fire bomb to heal you? Done! Want your Three Shot Burst to explode and irradiate your enemies? Done and done! This active passive system with 48 unique skills allows for near limitless combinations.
- All the loot - Love finding loot? There is so much loot we had to implement a recycling feature that allows players to turn extra loot into crafting currencies on the fly instead of having to run back to town.
- Vast Sci-Fi Universe - Have you played the other big ARPG's and wonder why there was no good Sci-Fi game? It is our passion to deliver that experience that has been missing in the genre. No more high fantasy, dark fantasy or voxel settings. Just good old fashioned Sci-Fi awesomesauce.
- Targeting Overlay - It can be frustrating at times to not have visual indicators for how far your skills work. We sought to solve this with a toggle-able targeting overlay that displays your skills range and area of effect.
- Pro Social and Health Mechanics - Being a gamer in 2017 is hard. There are so many good games and so little time it can be hard to pull yourself away. We feel that as developers it is part of our ethical duty to encourage gamers to make healthy choices. To that end we have been implementing and testing systems within the game to encourage players to make healthy choices. Let us know what you think!

Early Access Review Follows our Curator page: GGC curations if you want to read more Reviews like this.
First Of all: This Review does not contain Any Spoilers.
If you don't have a time/, just scroll down to The conclusion:)
The Game: Settled yourself in the Field "Action RPG2 In scifi STYLE. I can totally agree With that so far.
You play a Character you can lvln as usual for rpgs. You have quite a lot of Skills and Upgrades of this. Furthermore, the typical rpg Elements such as Strength, Dexterity, Mana/knowledge, etc.
You are accompanied from the Beginning by a small Robot. The responsibility is to exploit unusable objects. These "Garbage parts" That come out of there can then be used in one of the Cities as a currency.
Graphically, one should not expect what the Screenshots suggest. Personally, I don't have to have insane Graphics to like a Game, but being Misled doesn't like me at all.
You have beautiful different Areas to explore.
The Atmosphere: Initially only very bland and slow to build up. But Takes up after 2-3 Hours right drive and you feel very comfortable in the Universe. Graphically not impressive, the Music is quite nice. Nothing Groundbreaking is to be expected.
The Story: The Story is quite ok. No Hammer but solid. So as not to give too much away, it's all about examining a strange fog/veil. This one's universe apparently destroys piece by Piece of auffeuppattern/. You're on your first Mission, so not a Veteran or Full-pro, but willing to learn and I have to say the setup has its own Charm.
The Controls and Mechanics: The Game runs completely in real Time. The Fights are a choppy one. The Goal can also mean "running" due to a small Hit box. Applying The Spells is not so easy either, because aiming (Mouse movement) seems to have its own Speed. If you adjust to both and can handle it, it's ok. Otherwise, Frustration is guaranteed. There are a few Hotkeys to use as much as possible. Otherwise one or the other (e.g. use Items) will be a Frustration.
The Duration of The game: I am at about 8 Hours and am felt at 70-80% (Guess) of the Main Story. I have to say, however, that I have also explored a lot in some cases. The Duration of The game is absolutely fine.
-Conclusion: First, you have to bear in mind that the Game is in Early Access. Secondly, many of the current Reviews are written after a short Period of play. That Game is really very tough and "boring" at first. First, one of the whole negative Aspects stand out. But if you get used to it, you can expect a action rpg after the Prologue Mission (about 1-2 Hours). That is quite fun to have For a few Hours. It's not a Masterpiece or groundbreaking. But such Games don't have to appear on the Fly either. A nice Game for in between, with a nice Development opportunity of character. I can recommend it at this Stage, however, would only strike in the Sale. Except you stand on the Setting genre and can look past various Trifles
