It is the year 4004 and humanity is on the brink of extinction at the hands of the Nebulaq Forces. Led by the brilliant Quazarlc Tharvahg, the Nebulaqs have launched a campaign to destroy humanity at all costs, starting with their terrorist attacks on both the Digital World Trade Center and the Creyze Research Institute. These attacks by the Nebulaqs would soon lead them to create the planet destroying satellite known as the “Dinner Plate” and the total destruction of planet Earth with their new weapon. The Galactic Bureau of Alien Combat, or GBAC, launched several campaigns of their own to drive back the alien threat, however these attempts were in vain...until now.

You are the Lieutenant, the last hope of humanity. Armed with the GBS-5 Kinesthetic Armor, an arsenal of futuristic weaponry, and the knowledge of how to use such weaponry, you seek to eradicate the Nebulaq threat and restore peace once and for all. But, after the annihilation of your crew leaves you stranded on Cyreous Beach with only Nebulaq warriors for company, it is your duty to do what must be done. You must defeat the Nebulaqs, find the mysterious lair known only as "The Jysat" and assassinate Quazarlc.
