As an Indie-developer (Grotesque Tactics, Holy Avatar), I am always very happy to play smaller Indie products.
This little Indie Project (seemingly only 1.2 People) has some good Approaches. I got straight in because the Graphics reminded me of old Lucas Arts Adventures, even if it's more of an old-school Action Adventure.
Flashback Atmosphere, Prince of Persia Puzzles. A bit Of Metroid.
Solid game principle, with a fairly successful Atmosphere. However, the Game is quite short and does not offer as much Variety on the part of the Gameplay and Graphics. So I'd classify it as more middle-class. You can clearly notice the Cost Savings in some Places. So You should be able to see over that.
The End is still relatively shocking, but also spartan. Not everyone will like it. ;)

Short Retro Adventure Many Players compare Inescapable To Metroid, although I can't say anything about it, as I never played the old Parts. (Yes, Shame on me)
Gameplay We walk through the Area and tie down the Opponents. We have a Health Indicator that is rarely refillable and a blue Energy Bar that must serve as a Shield but also as ammunition. The Fights are kept very simple, the AI is very "retro." In General, I have rather lost Health, because I fell somewhere in the Beginning or almost drowned, because the Breathing Air Is always very scarce. Basically, you beat your way through the Game World, with the Opponents respading every time you enter the Section again. Occasionally still solve small Puzzles and find new Parts for your Suit so you can browse more Areas.
The most Important thing, however, is that you remember the (closed) Doors, so that you can find your way back later. The Game is quite short at 3 Hours and I found a serious Bug: With the first Keycard you put in the Lock, you have to go on immediately, because with a new Entry Of the Area the door is closed again. Maybe you just shouldn't come back any further and it's so wanted by the Game.
Story The Protagonist is in itself quite unimportant. Anything old Cracker Crashing with his Spacecraft trying to reach a Mine Colony. Once you have arrived, the Problems are already going on. In General, the Story net is particularly strong and the Ending I found quite disappointing, even though I understood the Approach the Developers wanted to drive with it.
Graphic/Sound The Trailer Probably already reveals everything. Retro. Simple Effects and rather little to no Music in the Background. Often just the Sounds that really happen in the Game as well.
Verdict I bought Inescapable in nem Bundle. For the current Price (€5) I probably wouldn't have bought it as it's nothing Special but still talked a little bit. If the Game is less than €2, you can quite watch.
