About

Climate got out of control in this not-so-far future, forcing people to leave above the clouds where the air is fresher.

Into The Wind is a tactical game that doesn't allow you to simply move and control your units.

Goal:

Your out-of-control Mothership goes in a straight line toward its death, the more powerful enemy mothership. To save it, you'll need to assign controls to your smaller units that are, by default, out of control and try to destroy the enemy Mothership!

You can only assign a limited number of controls to ONE ship per turn (by stacking up to 4 controls at a time). It means your other ships will often be out of control. Think carefully about what you're doing!

To make things even more out of controls, random "out of control events" (such as "a strong wind") are added to the mix and can mess up your well-crafted master plan. It creates a risk and reward gameplay where you need to balance the efficiency of stacking a high number of orders on your ships with the risk of seeing the whole sequence messed up by a strong wind, sending your beloved ships crashing on each other.

How to play?

1) Select one of your smaller units (your mothership is out of control, remember) and stack up to 4 control on it.

2) Then click "End Turn".

3) After that, every ship will resolve the control you assigned them or will simply move in the direction they're facing if they're out of order!

4) Repeat until you destroy the enemy mothership!

Commands:

- You can choose to let your ship move forward in the direction it faces

- You can choose to rotate to the left or the right and move forward

- If something got in the way of your plan, you can reset your command stack, but it will use an action!

How do I destroy those nasty enemy ships?

When ships find a target in range (usually 2 squares) on their sides (or cross the way of another ship), it fires.

And when ships finish on the same space as another they'll get destroyed. Well, except Mothership... They're way too big to care.

Controls:

- Left click to select a ship (when the square is green).

- Directional Arrows and Page Up/Down - Move the free camera

- Space - Snap onto Mothership

Known issues:
You can't change a control you just assigned (sorry we ran out of time).
