Ironic Ephemera

Ironic Ephemera is a desktop-only 3D virtual exhibition that plays on ideas of archive and virtuality. The work addresses concerns of AI, questioning problems of reality within knowledge-based systems through virtual spaces reminiscent of 90s/PS1 era FPS video games where the viewer encounters a stark, dystopian world. 

“Telos has  come to the realisation that the material holding together their consciousness is slowly degrading. In the wake of their atrophy, they have begun to construct a museum of objects whose collection is steadily growing. These artefacts of 'Ironic Ephemera' draw upon early human technologies as Telos comes to reflect upon their memories.”

The exhibition launched on Polygon Palm's Polygon Plaza platform on November 2022 and evolved with expansions, updates, behind-the-scenes, and easter eggs over the course of a 6 month period.
