IS Defense
About
„IS Defense” is a game set in politically-fictional 2020 – where the expansion of ISIS went out of hand. They took over all of Northern Africa, spreading their genocidal understanding of the world’s order. Strongly armed, vast in numbers and prepared for everything, the Islamic State is launching the invasion upon Europe, over the entire Mediterranean Sea.
The player takes the role of NATO’s stationary machine-gun operator, deployed to defend the shores of Europe. His task is to blast as many of the invaders as possible, until his glorious death. To do so, he has NATO support forces, his Machinegun and Rocket Launcher at his disposal. During the progress of this heroic defense, he gets the opportunities to upgrade his gear, his body and army rank – which affects the efficiency of the called support.
This game is our small side-project and is our personal veto against what is happening in the Middle East nowadays. As well as an attempt at resurrecting a pretty dead genre of games like „Operation Wolf” or „Beach Head” – in a state of the art, modern adaptation.

IS Defense reviews and comments
A somewhat uninspired copy of Beachhead. The intro cinematic telling a "what if" of IS invading the whole of north Africa is possibly the best thing about it, the gameplay is positively boring.

Another Game from Destructive Creations ... This time on a MG Tower. Tower Defence Games are usually dead, so I wondered the DC wants to rehash this relatively outdated Genre. I wanted to see more after the Trailer and threw myself into The Commist, because that is offered endlessly with the Representative.
A not too extensive Upgrade system allows my Tower to Smash, and this is sorely needed to be alive after 5min. In addition, I can request Support in the Form of Troops, Ammunition and Health as well as Artillery, Helicopters and Bombing of the entire Area. The Sound background is really good, whether Music or Effects you are in the middle of it.
But it already was. Defying Endless waves of Opponents and holding out for as long as possible is the only Goal. Personally, there were also too few Maps to Choose from. DC may have later put down 1 Card, but 4 Cards are too little for a Tower Defence Game.
You also pay little Money for that, who likes Minigames and endless Brewers.

"Do You Recommend this Game?"
BUT YES, definitely I recommend it, because in my Eyes this Game doesn't do anything wrong.
In a Nutshell: You sit at a rotating MG and fire at advancing Enemies. You don't do anything else in Call of Duty or Battlefield, just on the Move. The Opponents in this Case are IS Terrorists, but instead of those You can take any Type of opponent, whether an unknown Organization, Aliens or Cattle Halves, the Principle remains the same. The more Enemies you shoot down, the better Support you get, from a Cargo plane that drops a (later two) boxes of ammunition or Life each to the Helicopter that gives fire Support from the Air. To do this, you can improve this support and your own Gun With Skill points achieved by Firing, for Example, that you never have to reload again, or that the Projectiles (and, alternatively, Rockets) fly faster. Or you want the Helicopter to shoot not with MGs but also with Missiles? No Rehearsal, there's a Skill for that too!
The whole thing was built with the Unreal 4 Engine, and I have to say that the Game, and especially the Explosions look very nice. I have to say that this is the first Game with the Unreal 4 Engine, which does NOT crash my graphics card driver for my AMD Radeon R9 380.
I've played 2 Hours now and am about to be the Third (and so far last?) Completing Mission, and there is no Boredom yet. I hope more Content follows, I'd love it.
Here's a little Gameplay for moving Images!
