Wow what more can I say, Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is one of those games we do not forget so soon. This game reminded me of my first experiences as a player, with games like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, etc. (SNES)
I loved his particular story, poetic, like Earthbound, After a few years of development Kasey Ozymy did a fanatastic game.
+ Gigantic content I went to the Post Game and I have not seen everything yet.
+ Refreshing and intelligent soundtrack.
+ Characters with a deep "psyche".
+ Gameplay as Earthbound, but much more strategic.
- The diffilculty of game was a little to much for me at the beginning but now with the updates the game have a Easy mode.

I've yet to finish the game, but there's SO MUCH to do in it that I feel okay writing this review now.
*Jimmy...' is a dream allegory. A sometimes whimsical, sometimes frightening game about the human experience. This might sound like unnecessarily big words but I really feel like it's accurate. It's a silly, funny, scary, magical adventure but at the same time very relatable. I could go into detail, but really, the more I leave untold about the story etc the more you have to experience.
The game system is also clever. In combat the protagonist can switch between forms, like an on-the-fly job system a la FF5. One form might be good at dealing physical damage, another healing, another stealing etc. You also have party members with more static roles. Enemies also range from quirky to horrifying. Usually they have some sort of gimmick that makes them more than just a pile of stats to take down (protip: stealing can have unexpected results). I should also mention here that the game does not ♥♥♥♥ around. Bosses in particular will demand some strategery to beat. Just spamming your strongest attack isn't going to cut it here. There IS an easy mode if you run into trouble though, so it's no biggie.
Outside of combat your 'jobs' have field actions, like being able to shake/move things or to fit into small spaces. Sometimes using them are mandatory, but you'll be surprised at how much hidden stuff there is to find with them. And not just a treasure chest or two either, I'm talking whole secret areas here. Again, it's ridiculous how much stuff there is to find and do in this game.
If you want a funny, heartfelt and challenging RPG you can't really do better than this.
