Joe Blob (Woot! 2019)

Ronan McEvoy got in touch with Planeta Sinclair. Thirty years ago, he programmed a small game in Sinclair BASIC that mixes strategy with mazes. He sent us the game in the meantime and we really liked what we saw.

With the proper authorization from Ronan McEvoy, Espectroteam made improvements to the game, smoothing out some edges:

• Accelerated the game speed by converting Sinclair BASIC code to ZX BASIC
• Tested all levels, so that there are no impossible mazes to be completed.
• Made codes between levels random. For some reason, randomness was not working properly.
• Added introduction music to make the game more appealing.
• A new loading screen.

This remastered version was included in WOOT! ZXMAS 2019 compilation.
