Journey of a Roach Surprised me a lot.
In itself, I'm not the Type of Person for Adventures, but it was recommended to me and so I gave the Game a Chance.
And I definitely didn't regret it!
To my pro arguments: Journey of a Roach Has a wonderful Charm. It goes without Language, but you still know what to do. The Characters are incredibly lovingly designed as I think, and the Facial expressions in the Cutscenes particularly excited me. And the little Voices everywhere are a Hit. The ' Conversations ' are incredibly cute, and even if my little Protagonist Didn't let me do something, I just couldn't be nasty to him. Characters and Voices have been a great fit together. :D I also thought the different Chapters were great, as they all fit together, and yet they were different. You really took a little Trip. I found the Setting to be very coherent. I also thought the Story was good, because I didn't know where to go at the Beginning or in the middle of it. It was always good for a little Surprise! :D
Summarized by: + Story + Stimmen/Conversations (Really cute!:D) + Setting + Characters (eerily loving:)) + Atmosphere To the Things I didn't feel particularly positive, but also not particularly negative: I found the Controls with WASD very much in itself Pleasant as I find this wild clicking around disturbing. Nevertheless, I quite often did not come to terms with the ' crawling over Walls and Ceilings '. Not because it's particularly difficult, but because I've constantly forgotten that it's possible. :D The Idea is great, my Implementation of it was mediocre.
The Playing Time is of course not very much with around 3 Hours. I have to admit, however, that the Time in the Game seemed to me much longer and I didn't feel like I was just ' to let through '. All in all, the Game doesn't go very long, but I think it's a good Length nonetheless. Had it been much longer, you would have just slaughtered the Story and it would have been sluggish at some point. And as a small Request to those who are upset about the Price here: Bear in Mind that some other very nice Games that even go 3 hours around the €20. Let me do so as an Example: Abzu. ;)
There's £10 definitely not too much there, in my View.
Summarized: ~ Control (but because of my Little;)) ~ Playing time To my Contra arguments: Strictly speaking, there is only one Contra argument. The Puzzles. It is difficult to find a good Mediocrity between being too heavy and too easy, because everyone also gets through at different speeds. For me they were very challenging, but all in all nicely done! I simply did not come up with some Solutions because it was sometimes too outlandish for me. But here I would like to emphasize strongly: This is my own Feeling, everyone will have to decide this for themselves! :)
In Summary:-Puzzle (My Feet;)) Finally, I would like to say a lot of Praise and Thanks! Thanks to all those who put a lot of Time and Effort into Journey of a Roach, this Game gave me a lot of Joy! It's made really nice and cute! :D
