King of Fighters R-1

'King of Fighters R-1' (abbreviated version of Round 1) is a Japanese and Chinese fighting video game for the Neo Geo Pocket. It was developed and published by SNK on October 28th, 1998. It features an extensive cast of characters from the fighting genre, including 'Fatal Fury', 'Art of Fighting', 'Ikari Warriors' and several others.

This title, which is loosely based on the story after the events of 'The King of Fighters '97', also received a sequel known as 'King of Fighters R-2'.
