LD46 - Defendeer

Defendeer is a game made within 72 hours for Ludum Dare 46 by cMonkeys (Roidz, Deozaan, and Durgan). It was designed to imitate the style of LCD handheld games (such as the Game & Watch brand) from the 1980s.

"Keep It Alive" was the theme for LD46.

Backstory

One day Billy Biophile was boasting that he loved wildlife so much that he'd be willing to take a bullet for a living creature. Someone called him out on his bravado and now his actions must live up to his words or he will be exposed as a hypocrite and face absolute humiliation.

Fortunately for him, deer hunting season has just begun. He has gone out to the forest and found a deer that he is determined to keep alive at any cost, even if it means a total disregard for his own safety.

How to Play

Use the arrow keys (or WASD) to place Billy between the hunters and the deer.
If the deer gets shot, it's abject humiliation for Billy, and game over for you.
