This is an ArtCenter Game Jam Project.
The Theme is Through the Darkness.
The name of the project is Light My Way. It's a story of a cute little dust ball called Dustie, getting back to the land of brightness. Dustie is the soul of nearly dead human. It's now wandering in a dark land between life and death. Player is the guider of Dustie, trying to lead it return to bright.
Background Story:
Covid-19 took many lives. We believe that people will burst out with a very strong will to live before they die.
Dustie is a will of a dying people.
You are the guider in this area between life and death.
Please lead Dustie getting back to its human body.
Game Mechanic:
It's a 2D Platformer puzzle game. Player control Dustie moving lift / right and jump. Also, the key feature is putting the power-up lights into the level, giving Dustie some special abilities.
Yellow Light allow Dustie climbing all shapes of wall.
Red Light allow Dustie shooting his stings.
Control System:
A & D - moving left and right.
Space - Jump
Q & E - Shooting stings. Q to the left and E to the right.
Z - Undo the action
R - Restart the Level.
