Listen Here You Litlle Sh*t - Once Upon A Time...

There you are. Listen here this game tells the story of the greatest achievement of my younger years. Back in the day I was a young and upcoming knight who wanted to prove himself. So I found the worst enemy I could find. Myself. I fought my fear of darkness you see. I mean who isn't afraid of the dark right... right. Anyway I heroically defeated this dreadful enemy of mine and am now here to tell you the tale of this epic battle. Once upon a time...

Gameplay

In LHYLSOUAT you need to defeat a slime monster with your sword. You can dash to evade the enemy's attacks. If you die, you do not follow the story of your granpa anymore, so you will be rewinded to a point in the past to try again.

Controls

[W, A, S, D] = Movement
[Left Mouse] = Sword Attack
[Spacebar] = Dash

The monster gets damage if it enters one of the lightspots in the cave.

Information

This game was made for the Manasoup GameJam 2021 from 3th December to 5th December. Every team member contributed to every part of the game.

This was the first game jam we participated in. All assets (sprites, sounds, music, etc.) where made during the jam. Except of the rewind effect overlay.

Known Bugs

• The animation for the rewind doesn't display the first time the player dies.
• The damage animation of the monster overwrites the attack animation.
