About

Liveza: Death of the Earth – a classic platformer.
A global catastrophe has literally torn our planet apart, breaking Earth into many pieces. You are the survivor that explores the remains of our planet and investigates the anomalies that have settled upon it. You start out with only a single item: a broken weapon that also functions as a flashlight. Along the way, as you fight off dangerous creatures, you will find useful tools that will help you jump great distances, slow down the passage of time, or even find hidden objects that you otherwise cannot see.

Liveza: Death of the Earth reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
This game is a pixel indie platformer, tied to the shooting and search for items. This genre has recently been crowded with amateur crafts of varying degrees of lousy, but this case is exceptional in many ways. The Game "Liveza: Death of the Earth" at first sight does not impress, it seems simple platformer to several levels of altitude with the ability to shoot enemies. Steam has just unimaginable number of positive reviews on Russian without any specifics. Let's try to dig deeper and still find out what kind of fruit it is. Actually, I shall note first the positive aspects of the project. First of all, the setting seems very original, especially for the pixel games that touch the Oldschool. The Earth came to the cabin, it collapsed into pieces, and we play for a survivor with a broken rifle, to do what remains. Actually, sounds and looks cool. I generally liked the platforms with old benches and telephone poles, stalactites and signboards. This creates a good idea of the local universe and what contributed to the destruction of the planet, and how it happened. My theory is a kind of scientific and technical collapse that changed the gravitational field around the nucleus, which caused the earth to disintegrate, and its pieces still soar in the air. This in its kind confirmed and notes left on the levels. It's really cool. On the other hand, everything is good on the idea and breaks down. So praised in the commentary music-a dull howling, or quite good losses acoustic guitar, or a debil dubstep, from which the ears wither. I do not know, than all commentators without exception so Vkatila music, but objectively there is nothing special. Although I admit that it is praised, because it is necessary to praise anything. And there is nothing more. Enemies are the obscure, confusing system of hit-and-down, when it is unclear how the enemy reached you, even when he died, and from what bullet he definitely dies. Pixel graphics are so pixel-like that you can cut your eyes on these pixels. Besides, everything is terribly dark. I'm not against gloomy games, but this darkness, even gamepad chips are not justified, there is a natural no sense. The Animation is meager, two frames to move the hero and no animation to jump. The Creator obviously regretted the money or time on the visual component, thinking that it would also be a ride. Well, apparently, it has swept, since so many positive reviews... The Gameplay is just an attack. You jump on the moon, the stone falls down through the platforms, which you should jump on the idea. The Background is constantly merging, sometimes do not make out what you can jump, and what will lead you to the precipice of the death. Damage-damaging Obstacles are only annoying because they can get you even when you don't touch them. Gathering of subjects is organized poorly, as it is a tuby ryskevye on uninteresting levels. It Happens that you took the subject, and do not understand, for what. For example, how some kind of test tube will help to pass through the semi-broken lava stone? And What about the bragging bonuses, you ask? Well, there is a thing that temporarily gives you a double jump, it is not even a bonus, and the gameplay need to pass a certain area of the game. There is a slowing of time that doesn't really help. There is an acceleration of time, that in general some rubbish, because in this state it is impossible to platformat in principle. There is a first-aid kit, there is some bank of coffee, to which I have not got, well and on trifles. In General, these are useless bonuses. Jumping uncomfortable, control unsympathetic, shoot is not fun. So is it worth buying this game at all? Definitely, yes. First of all, because it's worth a tiny amount of money, and secondly, all this criticism has led me to thought. What if this game is so bad that it's even good? In General, it was interesting to pass it, studying the environment, getting into various game situations and vyputyvuchy of them, thinking about the details of the world on their own, pondering over the mysterious ending... All This is quite unusual and too bad not to try the game yourself. You May find something in it that will attract you. Well, at least, if you are a fan of such music, then exactly buy, just like in all Russian reviews music everyone likes...
