Early Access Review I'm writing my first Review here because it deserved this Game. For a Game in the Early Access Phase, it feels really good. I haven't encountered a Gamebreaking bug yet than in many other Games that have already been released. It also offers Complexity now ... I first shrugged together when I saw the integrated Wiki. It provides pretty much All the information you need from Combat Mechanics to what makes every single Ship special and Tips on how to play it. Now a bit General: There are three different Factions, each specializing in different Things more accurately you can read in the Game Description, there you have listed everything nicely. These three Factions each come with three Ships, each of which also plays differently. These Ships you can now upgrade in usual World of Warships manier there are I believe up to 10 tiers and thus you can adapt your Ship pretty much to your Needs. Also, with each Faction you can choose between three Hero/captains that give you a special Ability that can be used properly really fies. You also have Crewslots on his Ship. With these Slots, the Ship can be adapted even better to your own Style of play, because the Crew members are randomly found after a Game and they have random Characteristics. Now a bit about the actual Gameplay: You start on a Map that, as in Battleroyal Games, gets smaller the longer the Round lasts. This sometimes leads to really funny fighting when 6 Ships try to make each other capsize in a confined space. When you destroy a Ship, it drops different Powerups that make you stronger for the whole Game. This applies not only to Ships of other Players, but also to AI Ships, which are supposed to represent a Kind of minion at which you can "farm" high. In my Opinion, the combat System is already very complex, since you have 3 different Types Of ammunition and At the same time abilities, all of which have their Place in the Game. In itself, I have not had any real Problems in Fights so far, if then I believe only my own Failure. It feels really good as everything works the way it's supposed to. The only thing I could fault would be that from time to Time you get too close to rocks to hang on to something even though there's nothing there or you can just drive over shallow Spots where you'd actually have to get stuck, but I mean it's still an Early Acce ss Game, you can forgive something like that, especially if the important one works so smoothly. I cannot say That much about the Balancing of the individual Ships. In My Opinion, it doesn't feel like there's the one Ship that dominates everyone, but that won't show in Time. Even the attitude of the Developers I find really good in Times like this, where Publishers from money stativeness release unfinished games or at a bugated Game claim it would be "esports ready" and no longer patch it for months after Releas ... The Developers of Maelstrom seem to think really differently and hopefully bring in a bit of a breath of fresh Air. But that will all continue to show in Time. I only advise everyone to buy the Game it costs almost nothing for what it offers and will still offer and the Fun doesn't come up short ^ ^
