Magetastic

Welcome to the land of magic, and we hope your stay will be Magetastic!

Magetastic is currently a free VR game demo that we at Mohavi made in a month to try working with VR. We ended up loving VR, and would like to keep working on it. We would love to publish VR-games in the future, one possibly sharing the same name as this one if we are able to get funding.

Since Magetastic is a demo, the  gameplay is limited but still very fun and shows the potential. We have a GDD (Game Design Document) that you can find here, if you would like to read more about our initial vision of the final product.

Controls: 
Instructions and more can be found in the character's spellbook. The spellbook can be grabbed from your left hip area.

Switch to grab: 
Oculus controller - click the joystick for grab
Vive controller - click center of track pad for grab

There are 4 types of magic to choose from and each type of magic has 3 spells to cast.

Switch magic type: 
Grip button + gesture.
Each magic has a simple gesture that can be found in the spellbook

Select a spell:
Oculus controller - Move joystick to select a spell
Vive controller - use track pad area to select spell 

Cast a spell:
Use trigger to cast instant spells, eg: Ice lance shoot out like a gun
Hold trigger and then release to cast, eg: Fireballs can be thrown so hold the trigger and then make a throwing gesture and release the trigger at the desired time to throw the fireball

Requires VR headset to play. 
Requires that you have Steam and Steam VR installed
