But why can we not give direct order to his units? Whether it is to attack or to explore the map, one can only influence with flags the artificial intelligence of the units. Except it really doesn't work well as a gambling mechanism. For example I want to explore a part away from the base, I put a flag in the distance, after a while a hero will move there in a straight line. Once on site I would like to explore the surroundings, so I put a new flag with a lot of gold not even a screen of the hero, and Ben no! This one may very well consider returning to the base.
It's the same stupidity in combat, 5/6 heroes are heading to an opposing base to tie, well the one at the front can very well decide that it is too dangerous and go back to the base alone...
