MARSimulator
About
MARSimulator is an educational interactive desktop application with an experiential and notional purpose.
The user can experience the landing of a small one-man spaceship on the red planet, Mars, and will be asked to carry out the first operations to create a self-sufficient base, including creating a small greenhouse to recycle carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, producing oxygen and food resources, and installing a drill to reach the underground layer of ice in order to obtain water.
He will be accompanied by a robot that will provide the necessary instructions for setting up the operational base, but also insights into the planet and space exploration in general.
Please, consider that this project is still a prototype and the audio is in Italian.
This demo project was created within the Virtual Reality course of the Cinema and Media Engineering faculty (Polytechnic of Turin - a.y. 2022/2023).
