Master Reboot is one of the many Titles currently riding the Wave of cancellation and Exploration Games. The Basic Idea sounds interesting: As a Player you explore the SoulCloud, a Server that preserves Memories from People's Lives, in various Episodes a Puzzle is composed of the Main Character's Psyche. Unfortunately, the Developers do not succeed in convincingly translating this Idea into the interactive Medium Video Game. Most of The time is spent playing skill and Puzzle games that seem uninspired and are only rudimentary related to the Story. They're not fun either, which is why I left the Game bored at some point.

The Game didn't interest me from the Trailer and its first Impression. That's Why it was lying around in my Library for a long Time unplayed. Now I can only regret not playing it before. The Game is a light Horror Game, with Horror not true. It's rather a little creepy and you can scare yourself here and there. That, however, is not the Strength of this Game. It tells an incredibly exciting Story without losing many Words. The Atmosphere and the Design have been incredibly well developed, which is underlined by the Music. A large part of the Game is spent solving Puzzles. And some already have it in them.
I can recommend the Game to anyone who is looking for a good Story and in Puzzle Challenges.

A very pleasant and shallow Exploration Game with smaller Horror Insoles. The Puzzles are all quite easy to overcome, although sometimes it degenerates into Raterei.
The Game worlds are beautifully staged in my Eyes and I was always thrilled about one or the other Effect, for example the Memory on the Island (I would like to go back * sigh *) On the whole, however, I am missing more of the Horror here! Atmospherically mostly well implemented, Master Reboot provided a lot of Goosebumps in some Places, but unfortunately it was a little too little Horror passages for my Taste.
Nevertheless, a beautiful Game, which stands out from one exploration game by its Way and setting. For an Indie Game definitely a nice Game!

Very special and very amazing.
Master Reboot is a great cyberpunk action adventure (kind of) with an unique look that proves, that art style is much more important than actually good graphics. The game with its clunky and colourful look fits perfectly into the rather dark and mysterious story.
It is spooky, but it is not really scary. So, it’s no real horror, but it has a great dark atmosphere.
The game is very story driven and the background story is transmitted via hints and hidden story parts. But unlike a lot of “walking simulators” (GOD, I HATE this word) it has a lot of gameplay – and a lot means in this case: a lot of different gameplay elements: a bit plattforming, a lot of different puzzles, a stealth level etc.
And it can be played in Welsh – how cool is that?
BUT: you may consider the game a bit short and therefore the game a bit too expansive, so you may maybe wait for a sale. And the game can sometimes get a bit frustrating, especially the platforming parts. But the community guides are pretty good to help you out.
