If you aren't familiar with Outhouse Media, it's a site (and a company) that brought you Outhouse Magazine, Straight Talk with Chris Gethard, The Outhouse Interviews, Outrageous, and a whole lot more. They're the New York based gaming media company that made us well-known in the gaming press. They've brought you reviews of the likes of StarCraft II, GTAV, The Witcher 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Christmas 2013's 'Bloody Hard', Jane the Virgin, Silicon Valley, and Game of Thrones. Oh, and they bought and renamed their website Outhouse.com. Now, Outhouse Media is a company who makes some of the most insightful, fun and entertaining video game reviews out there. The company started with a $1,000 Kickstarter campaign, where they raised $800,000. Crowdfunding is a great way to create a brand, but it's also hard to maintain a brand when the funding can't be maintained for months, if not years. Through this Kickstarter they've managed to raise $800,000, which is a great start for them, but much smaller than what their previous project had raised. They've started to get some attention on social media, and their first video game, Behemoth: The End of the Line, saw almost 20,000 views on their YouTube channel during the initial month
