Memento of Spring by Bright Onion Studios Another visual Novel I wouldn't call a Game. There are no Decisions to make, just click and follow the Story. Story This revolves around the Magician Juliane of Westerholz, who, no matter where she is, causes only problems and is also called the Princess of Unhappiness. As a Result, our Protagonist now lives in a Chapel together with her Guardian in a typical Fantasy World. Her Everyday life consists only of eating, sleeping and getting on the Nerves of anyone who gets too close to her. But everything changes when a new Teacher arrives from the Magician'S Academy. Juliane wants to prove to her what a Genius she is and manages to teleport herself in the process. Since our beautiful Earth seems to have a Magnet for Dimensional Portals, mutant Monsters, aliens, Etc., Juliane also lands on our Planet. To be precise in modern Japan. The Story is sometimes very long-winded or picks up further than absolutely necessary. As a result, Tension is unfortunately lost, as it is easy to predict what happens next. Here, in my Eyes, quality was sacrificed for more Quantity (more Words and therefore more Reading-/playtime). Luckily, there are a Variety of funny Conversation.moments. The Characters At The beginning, Juliane is simply an imagined, warped Gör. This changes a bit with their Arrival in Japan. You can also get a lot of Information about all the other Characters. As a result, none of the People seem unimportant. However, I found it quite hard to establish any relationship with any of the Individuals, let alone identify with them. Juliane is missing from too many Scenes and it is not told from her Perspective either, so it is difficult to perceive her as the Main Character at all. The two People, on the Other hand, Are mostly told from their point of view (Amalie and Lily) too rarely spring into Action. All others are clearly Supporting characters. There is a clear Lack of clear Emphasis on the Main Character. Graphic The Game presents itself in a pretty Manga/Anime Look. Although many of the Outfits are quite simple, all the Characters are elaborated in detail. The same applies to the 15 Gallery Images that appear in the UN and which can also be viewed separately in the Gallery. Backgrounds there are a lot of, but I find them very simple. Sound You can listen to classical Piano Music. This is very quiet and pleasant and can also be found again in an extra Gallery. The Pieces of music fit beautifully with this UN and are wonderfully relaxing, sometimes also somewhat melancholy. The Music reminds me strongly of those you get to hear in "One Thousand Lies." Unfortunately, the Characters are not set to music for this. Conclusion Memento of Spring is an average VN with Strengths and Weaknesses that gives away a lot of Potential. Those who like VN can easily access here, as well as Achive Hunters, because the Successes are all automatic when you read through. If, on the other hand, you want a Game in which you can also make something or at least make Decisions, you should keep a stop from it. If you want to get it at the Original Price, the current €9 can be justified for a Reading Time of 10-30 Hours (depending on The Reading speed). Waiting For a Sale, however, is, as always, a good Option, especially since you can also get better UN for less Money. PS: Memento of Spring is only available in English, but those who master normal School English should not have any Problems.
