About

Also known as The Dark Eye: Memoria, it's a point-and-click adventure game from a German developer and publisher of Daedalic Entertainment. The game is part of the series, based on the game The Dark Eye in 1984 and a direct continuation of the plot of Chains of Satinav.

The history of Memoria begins immediately after the end of the events of the previous game and tells the story of Geron's quest to find a way to help his fairy Nuri. The plot develops linearly. The developers use story-in-story method to tell two parallel telling two stories of two heroes. The camera in the game is in such a position that the player feels like an observer of the game world. To direct characters to a certain point on a screen it is necessary to click there. Clicking is also helping with interacting with objects, the characters comment on their possible use of items, and this is somewhat simplifying the task of the player.

The game tries to connect the classic point-and-click gameplay with the mysterious setting and features of The Dark Eye RPG universe.

Memoria reviews and comments

In My Opinion, "Memoria" is not one of Daedalic's best Games. I would give this Game a neutral Rating if I could. Unfortunately, though, I have to make up my mind, and for me the negative Points rather prevail in this Game. Pros: + Beautiful, partly impressive pictures, very nicely painted (Makes You want Screenshots) + great Setting (German), pleasant Voices, spoken very nicely (especially the Voice of the "Staff" I liked) + The Game has quite a few good and Also Humorous Moments (I would have liked to have had more of them) + The Possibility to be shown in the Game the clickable elements, I found Great and very helpful + Some Puzzles I enjoyed (if I could solve them myself) + Towards the End of the Game it becomes interesting And exciting, the End itself is really very nicely solved + The Ability to store And load game scores itself is given More storage space would have been nice negative:-Switch to Full screen mode turned out to be a bit difficult, then I was "7 Game Minutes "displayed (yes, yes, I know ... When you "play," time passes as if you're in a Flight ...) -The Story is ... Well... Okay, but by no means as exciting as that I would have fed up with the Dissolution. Occasionally I was even bored because I had nothing to do (see next Point). -Much too often (and too long) you can just watch any automatic Actions. Nice for a Video, boring for a Game, but it's just about playing Here after all. -The Pictures, which are beautiful in themselves, are often quite motionless, i.e. in Dialogues usually only the Mouth moves (and not always in sync), especially with longer Video Sequences or Dialogues Unpleasant. -Movements such as Running seemed rather stiff. -Without Walkthrough, I probably would never have been able to finish the Game. Although you can see which task needs to be accomplished, how this Needs to happen, it hasn't always been clear to me. Maybe I haven't played enough Point & Click Games to solve something like that in a reasonable Time, but if I don't know how to get on, then I'm just not Having fun anymore. I want to puzzle, not despair. More Hints (in the Game) about Finding a Solution would have been great. Verdict: The Game may have its Fans – that shows the good Ratings for "Memoria" – but if I compare it to other Point & Click Games I've played so far, then I've clearly had less Fun with that. I just would have expected more from a Game that wasn't released until 2013. I liked "Syberia" (Part 1 and 2) better, despite the Weaknesses, and these Games are about 10 Years older than "Memoria." So, there would have been more in it, because from the Point of view of approach, the Game is not completely wrong. Too bad actually.

Great game enthusiast point & amp; click having started with Myst 20 years ago, i packed by Memoria. Everything is of a good level in this game: the graphics, the nigmes, the scenario, the music, the voices (attention not of French). In addition to the point & amp; click we can cast a few spells that makes you really believe in this world of fantasy with a scenario worthy of dungeons and dragons but without the incessant battles that the games that claim are imposing (like baldurs gate etc). The nigmas are logical without being too difficult, I used ugly two or three times and I regretted because while thinking a little I could find all alone. So we progress quickly enough in history but the longevity is nevertheless good. The story is very fascinating, from time to time a little complicated (especially the end), but globally very satisfactory. I have never seen a dungeon as well as it was when Sadja is stuck in this dungeon and you have to get out, everything is there to put us in the mood and we believe it. Later come turn a little humor with the magic stick that speaks, the tragedy of Geron and Nuri, and that of Sadjabref is a real world that is created for the player. I had not played the previous episode but it is not very exciting except a little early o obviously the story continues another. In short: a wonderful game for fans of the genre.
