Memory Lake

This is a student project, designed to replicate the nostalgic feelings of being a child on summer vacation. Embedded in more than 10 trees around this peaceful environment are real stories from real people recorded from interviews I did over Zoom during Covid-19 lockdown. I prompted each interviewee to just tell me stories they remember fondly about being outside or the natural world. Each story is anonymous, but the themes and joy in each story is universal. The visual design of the world, and all the audio programming, assets and field recordings were done by me.
