Menticide
About
This game was developed by a team of Clark University students, and was produced by Team EdgeCase.
You play as a man having a mental breakdown. He tries to escape from his own mind and runs deeper into it. You play as his protector, drawing lines and moving him around to protect him from enemies that may or may not be real. This endless runner game is an analogue for mental health, and because of that you cannot win. You just try to get a better score than you did last time. There is a global leaderboard so you can compete with others, no matter where they are.
Gameplay Instructions:
Use the "a" and "d" keys, or the arrow keys to move left and right.
Use your mouse to click and draw lines that will block off enemies line-of-sight, bounce projectiles away, keep the iron maiden from growing spikes, and to pickup additional health!
You have a draw meter that will run out if you draw for too long. It will refill over time, but if it reaches zero, you will not be able to draw until it refills all the way.
The trees will slow you down and let the hands catch up to you. Regain speed by sliding along the wall!
If you are not happy with your run, press "r" to reset emmediately.
Meet the team.
