Mephistos Tower

first of all in each floor there will be  there will be varies bottles which contain the souls of others. you must collect a certain amount of them in order to move on to the next floor.

floor 1

on floor one the goal is to collect 700 souls(each bottle holds 10 souls) and once you've collect all the souls on the screen thn more will drop but that's not all every time you clear a set of souls a new enemy will be added to the level. in this case the enemy is the enchanted skulls there key attributes is that there quick and their movement patterns get more unpredictable has more spawn in. 

floor 2

same has floor 1 except the total amount of souls required to move on is 1400 and the enemy of this level is the incorporeal demons. the incorporeal demon key attributes are that is can move through solid objects and creatures meaning you have to keep track of them at all times and make sure to predict where there heading 

boos floor

its the time to face off against mephisto himself where you must survive three 1 minute waves while trying to collect any amount of souls possible in the time.

wave 1 

during this wave you must avoid the fire, Mephisto and the enchanted whilst collecting souls to move on to wave 2.

wave 2

same has wave one but this time instead on skulls it incorporeal demons.

wave 3

fuses wave one and two for a tense final minute.

inspirations 

during the development of the game i was inspired by to things. the first is my love for bombjacks a classic platformer i remember playing has a kid and the character and story is inspired by the blue collar occultist John Constantine who is my favourite DC character or favourite overall hero.

theme: every life counts

my thoughts with the theme on how it relates to the game is that the soul is basically the life force of a person and in the game in order to move on you must collect every last soul not just focus on getting your own soul back. and this is especially true in the boss level where you only have 3 minutes to add has many souls has you can to your total whilst also trying to stay alive.
