Metabolis (C64/Spectrum)

Originally released in 1985 for the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum home computers, this surreal platformer was developed by prolific British game developers Gremlin Graphics. Now, relive those days in this remastered emulated version.

Contains both the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum versions.

Before your eyes your friends, your family are rendered helpless, transformed to lesser beings - birds and mice - by the invading Kremins. But by a cruel twist of fate the transformation leaves you with the body of a bird but the brain of a human. You are the last chance the human race has left.

Gameplay

Explore an expansive world, dodging deadly enemies and collecting useful items. Find food to keep your health replenished, a poisonous boomerang - your only weapon against the Kremin, pills for your fragile heart (weakened by the transformation process), and more!


This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:
