Metrocide is a relentless single-player stealth action game in which you play as a contract killer: the notorious T.J. Trench.

You will have to negotiate a fierce and brutal city replete with gangs, vigilantes, cops and more, taking out the trash one contract at a time. While cop drones circle overhead, you’ll be sticking to the alleyways with a variety of weapons and plantable explosives finding new and unique ways to get away with murder most foul. But one single slip-up will cost you. There are no respawns here – when you’re dead, you’re dead. That’s it.

You play as Trench, taking out the trash one target at a time. Play through the three zones of retro-futuristic and cyberpunk-inspired MetroCity earning cash for completing kills in this brutal stealth-action game inspired by such classics as Syndicate and Grand Theft Auto.

Duck and weave through the claustrophobic streets and alleys as a living city does its best to stop you breathing - permanently.

The game came out of the Cyberpunk Game Jam in early 2014, but rather than get submitted at the end of the jam, was kept under lock and key and worked on as a full Flat Earth release.

Metrocide reviews and comments

You see what it is Hitman? Well imagine the same thing but from a top view brief truce of chatter let's review the game +-a gameplay at the old school-various weapons-old Gen graphics-the possibility of making murders in total stealth (hide bodies...) The--game much too repetitive-in English (although this is not disturbing in this kind of game)-bad value for money (to buy for maximum €2)-weapons far too expensive-graphics old Gen-IA completely has the picks conclusion a game that has the Meri you take a look at it but despite a value for money much too bad and problems has no more or even the positives, pass your way there is better because it is very fast the tour of this game. Overall rating 11/20

There comes a Feeling as if it were 1999 and you play GTA2 Armed with a Gun you run around town, take Murder orders and shoot Target people, any Gang Members or even innocent Passers-by. Depending on the Level of difficulty of the Target person (if it is armed, paranoid, or if the Order is limited in time, etc.) you will receive a Payment of 150 Credits and upwards. The hard earned Money can then be exchanged at a Kiosk for Weapons or Tools or deleted the Search at Police Hubs (Price: 400 Credits). Due to the high Prices in the Game, one is forced to proceed quietly and accept Riskier orders, because this is the only way to pay for a Ticket to finish the Level (Price: 2000 Credits and upwards). The Problem: Good Behaviour is almost impossible, because: The Target People usually only run through heavily busy areas only the Pulling of the Weapons generates sounds that are so loud that all Nearby turn around the Same applies to the Shots The "Zielen/shooting" With the Gun lasts 3 Seconds and in this Time a lot can happen weapons you can not just buy, but you have to unlock them once and again to be able to buy them again and again The Unlock conditions are just crazy, E.g.: kill 50 People with the Scrap Gun to buy a Sound Steamed On and of itself no Problem, just when you die, you start from the beginning: All in all a very good Game for between through! For €1am highly recommended in HumbleBundle, for the full €12.99! For this, the Game is not yet sufficiently developed and can be played loosely in 2h. I expect a lot more at €12.99! Edit: The Game feels like an Early Access title that has never been fully developed. There have been no update/patches for 6 Months, which for me is a Sign of Completion. The Developer's Homepage looks Amateurish, the Twitteraccount of Metrocide (which is mostly an Indicator of Activity) no longer seems to publish anything ... The Game is then probably finished or the Development is shut down?! That's Why I've now switched from "Thumbs up" to "Thumbs down," as selling such an unfinished product for £12.99-is a distinct Cheekiness!
