Mirt. Tales of the Cold Land. Chapter one
About
Mirt is a small town, lost somewhere in the northern valleys, welcoming none. Everything is frozen here, even time itself. A newcomer will have difficulties getting used to the snow in the middle of summer, the strange natives, each of whom knows something, though never tells, and most of all — to the story of Mirt, not a long history, but already full of secrets.
Anton is an ordinary student. Not having enough money, he decides to go to Mirt for the summer. The beginning of his stay is relaxing but fairly uneventful: easy but well-paid work, a small room, and new friends. But soon the Mirt's past begins to show itself and Anton has to become a detective for a while to figure out what's going on.
Can a girl from a cafe see the future? What made a young woman commit suicide? Who or what did kill the new arrivals some years ago? And, last but now least, why did his shadow suddenly become a few shades brighter?
This is a novel about being lonely, about destiny, about people, chosen by the stars to meet, seeing each other at last. About being strong and ready to self-sacrifice, about forgiveness and, of course, about twists and turns of time.

Mirt. Tales of the Cold Land. Chapter one reviews and comments
A visual novel with an interesting premise. A horror and mystery mix, with supernatural elements. This is a re-release after the other version was removed from the store. Right now, the achievements won’t unlock on Steam. I hope this issue will be resolved soon. I had fun reading it and thus recommend.

Myrtle is not like an ordinary provincial town. For Example, there is snow in July. And the next day again summer, as if nothing happened. Mystic... Or the developers have not changed the environment for some reason. However, the strangeness of the town is comparable only to the strangeness of its inhabitants. They have a mass tradition of washing at night; At leisure inhabitants beat each other faces, and after arrange evenings of poetry; called Vodka wine; And on weekends amicably go to the cemetery.
In This city comes to the part of the hero named Anton. It's not that simple. I'm not particularly into the subject, but the job in the north is a heavy physical work or special knowledge, isn't it? But Anton is hiring a non-dusty job at the office, roughly speaking, doing something on the computer. At the same time he is a student, i.e. it is impossible to demand special knowledge or great experience. And What kind of computer work if there's only one phone in Myrtle, and that's in the mail? Well, all right, let's leave the nagging, all described-just an excuse, and in the foreground the story, as a stranger Anton gets into a mystical city and faces his riddles. Oh, no, not Anton. After the first scene the narrative suddenly passes to one of the locals. Oh, no, there's another newcomer who seems to have a fateful role to play. In General, everything is a bit chaotic. But Still, you know, pretty charming. The Atmosphere of the city, detached from civilization, is present.
I liked that this novel is not in the genre of anime. However, in those moments when in other novels in front of the hero there are beautiful girls, here the hero meets with the guys... It is even possible to think something wrong... For Example, there are no girls in this game. :) But No, of course, there are heroines. The balance between reality and fiction is Still very finely observed. Developers are able to razrazazit curiosity.
The language of the novel deserves Particular attention. I have already written that it is unpleasant to me to see in the novel Lost Girl'S Diary disgusting language of some goblins from the gate ("Che", "kick in the Soup", etc.). "Mirt" is the opposite in this respect. The Text is saturated with high vocabulary. For example, from the description of the heroine: "In the dark hair, as in the night sky, the stars sparkled glare from the lamp" (do not be frightened, the lamp was mosaic). Or "From the sky fell like a lady's glove, darkness." It's beautiful. Although, perhaps, such expressions are outdated. And if "Myrtle" was just a book, it might be perceived ambiguously. But Most importantly, there is no unnecessary chatter, unlike the same Infinite summer.
You can play Myrtle, if you want to get the perfect game in statistics (reaching the lungs, in a pinch in the manuals there is a guide), or pass the time. But If you want to solve the riddles of Myrtle, it's not here at all. No Clue. Only hints or blanks for the future chapter. Although It is not necessary to be a psychic to understand how these cards will be decomposed. The Novella is clearly created under the influence of Lukyanenko's Marines. Only here go not in faded Sumrak, and in Shadows. A Daring and mysterious girl under the pseudonym Taro is very similar to the witch Alice. And the White Bird in trouble, which seems to be a man, also resembles one of the heroines of a famous Russian science fiction writer.
With the saves something is not the same, at least at the time of writing the review. I never managed to make a single deposit until I passed the game. But This is not a special problem, as the whole story is going on in about an hour, and besides it can be very quickly promotsya.
This is just the beginning, and it would be interesting to see how the story will evolve.
