Mothergunship reviews

Product received for free I had loved Tower of guns, the first game of Joe Mirabello. The principle was simple, climbing a tower by destroying everything in its path. Many bonuses, weapons and liabilities were unlocked as they progressed for ultra-dynamic games. Might as well say that I have not been disaffected by Mothergunship. The principle remains similar, except that this time you will have to explode a multitude of ships until reaching the Mothergunship, the mother ship of the enemy forces. It will obviously not be a walk of health. Each ship consists of proceally generated rooms filled with enemies to exterminate to reach the control room and initiate the self-destruct procedure. Cannon, flying mines, security drones, huge bosses, there will be for all tastes. Your character can carry and shoot with two weapons simultaneously. But contrary to what can be done in other games of the genre, you will be able here to create the weapon of your dreams by assembling the items harvested or purchased. You want to create a shotgun that also makes flamethrowers by launching mines? No problem, put on the base a fitting with three outputs, add the desired weapons and the trick is played! Ammunition is not a problem since only energy consumption is counted, that is what will limit your ardor because a weapon superpower is good, but if it can shoot a little more often than every 15 seconds, it's better. The possibilities are crazy and I really broke out with this feature, especially as the authoring tool is intuitive, simple and effective. Through your missions you will unlock passive points to get more life, jumps and other things of the kind, as well as access to new merchants (that of the black market for example). In parallel with the main campaign, other objectives will also be proposed to you to recover new pieces of equipment because there is a "small" detail that I have not yet approached. All the coins you win or buy go into your inventory, but if you ever die, everything you have equipped will be lost, so be careful where you put your feet if you go on a mission with a very rare and powerful equipment. But this risk taking is also what makes Mothergunship's salt. Icing on the cake, for a few months the title is playable in cooperation for even more explosions, it would be a shame to deprive! The team has not rested since the exit since there is also an infinite mode as well as a second campaign. Hard to find more defulating than Mothergunship and its completely insane weapon creation system. Between the campaigns, the many biomes (because Yes the interiors of ships are very varied), the special rooms, the secret areas, the legendary modules actually impacting the gameplay, General humor and many other things that I do not want spoiler, the game is a superb defouloir that I recommend to all fans of FPS and bullet hell. I liked Joe Mirabello a lot before this title, I love it even more now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBwVikA-ZTA

The gimmick of building your own guns is really good, but the execution - as well as the very basic and sometimes overly cluttered 'bullet hell' shooting mechanics - feels janky and underbaked. The lack of evolution in the gameplay doesn't help either.
