Moth's Magic Movement Mock-up
About
This is a relaxing experience to help test out the movement mechanics of a much larger game I am working on.
The movement is a mix of the dash from Celeste (including all the hyper dash shenaniganry) and the dash the character Copen has in Gunvolt (2 and iX). Just want to see if it is fun.
Moth is a magical girl, who's powers are obviously moth themed, don't worry too much. (She exists for a far greater purpose)
GoalGet to the summit of the mountain.
How To ProgressFollow the minimap.
Along the way you'll have to open up paths by finding pedestals (marked yellow) in the caves and standing on them (they look like an upside down T made of boulders. they are usually isolated and the only thing around). The pedestals cause cave ins that open up new routes around the mountain. Play with sound to insure you know when it happens. (Screen shake happens aswell)
Getting out of the mountain won't always mean going up.

CreditsHuge Shoutout to https://twitter.com/LucindaGrey_for doing the original concept art for Moth which I'm using as the background image and icon. The art predates the jam this prototype was entered into.
I handled all the game related stuff. Designing, programming, even the character pixel art. All done within the time frame of the jam.
