In this game you take on the role of a city planner training to save their home city from ultimate defeat, all whilst the same looming threat that faults their kingdom hovers over this new location as well.

The art style is playful and often not meant to be taken seriously as this game is meant to be a relaxing journey through building your stylized kingdom.

 Mushroom Kingdom at times can get very complicated as at each step in progress new game mechanics are thrown your way. Nearing the middle of your playthrough, you end up managing many different stats and resources to build your city. If this idea does not sound fun or interesting you may not like this game.

Mushroom Kingdom takes a bit of getting used to as there is no proper tutorial. If your confused at any step often times the "Key" button in the main menu may help you keep track of what resources are needed for what things.

If you are okay with steep learning curves, relaxing city builders, and diverse or overwhelming options, Mushroom Kingdom should fit you very very well. It is in my best interest to not have you buy a game you won't want to play again.

REPLAY VALUE: 3/5

Upon completing a save, there isn't much new content other than late game achievements or extra content. You can do multiple playthroughs however Mushroom Kingdoms main cutscene oriented story is fairly linear. You may have a fun time building many different cities, however the general progression remains the same through each playthrough.

This game gets regular large updates and community ideas are welcomed.

Bugs are to be submitted so they can slated for troubleshooting and debugging. Often new builds (EX: 1.8.0.0 EX2: 1.8.1.0) will be filled with bugs.

LOST FILE:

Upon an update, you may find your save file no longer works. This is to be expected, however, do not concern yourself. If you see an issue on build release day with your saved data, report it and in the coming days it may be fixed. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECOVER A LOST SAVE YOURSELF. This is often a dangerous procedure and can lead to further damage to your save.

SCREEN FORMAT ISSUES:

If your screen aspect ratio differs from 16:9 (this has currently only been tested with aspect ratios of 16:9 and 4:3) than you will experience difficulties in game. You can not play this game without a 16:9 aspect as of DEC 21 2022. This was a mistake and is slated to be fixed.

Right now, Mushroom Kingdom is only available for the Windows Operating System. Supported windows versions: Windows 10 (64-bit)

no additional software is required to run Mushroom Kingdom.

This game will not be free forever and once this final update is released and the game exits beta it will cost money to download Mushroom Kingdom.
