My Name is Addiction

"My Name is Addiction" is a Visual Novel. We're hooked. Addicted to Pornography. Our Addiction restricts us, hinders us in our real life. Relationships with real Women are difficult. Mechanically, the Game is a typical visual Novel, that is, we usually read illustrated Texts and can occasionally opt for different Reactions, which can then lead to different Narratives and seven different Ends. The Quality and Maturity is special. The (English) Lyrics are amazingly well written, intelligent, sometimes surprising. Texts that can inspire not only Narrative, but also thinking. In the Foreground is not the Pseudo-erotic, but Addiction with all its destructive and psychological Effects. This is Accompanied by strong, artful Paintings and Drawings, the modern rough Line of which alone is convincing in terms of Quality. Unfortunately, for my Taste the great Pictures are repeated too often, a little more Variety would have done well. What stands out, however, is the soundtrack, which is also very clear but incredibly strong, which more than wears the Mood in a highly atmospheric and skillful way. To give just one Example, there is a Song that could appear on a Roisin Murphy Album. And it wouldn't be the album's worst Song by no means. Great composed and also terrific sung. Most of it, however, is instrumental and here, too, it is a pity that there are no more Variations. All in all, however, a surprisingly strong title, grown-up and confidently told, skilful and creatively executed. Review to "My Name is Addiction" Foreword I purchased the Game for $0.99to and played through it twice. The short Game time can be explained by the rather shorter Story of the Game, especially with the second Run. Story The Game, as can possibly already be seen from the Title, deals with an Addiction, or rather the Handling of it. In this Case, the Player accompanies an affected person and is able to determine the Further Course of the game by limiting the influence of the Decisions to be made. These have only conditional Effects-but still affect the End of the Game. This seems most likely incomprehensible and confusing to the greatest playerhood, it is a profound and complex Story line. The Reason for this is their Way, the Story is the Experience of the Person, together with their World of thought-their Feelings, Desire, Fears (...) a colorful Mixture of Impressions. You can't expect everyone to be able to do something with it, you have to get into it. Gameplay The Gameplay in classic Form does not exist, the Player only clicks to continue or make a Decision-in the Style of a Visual Novel. Graphics & Sound-The General Performance The images that make up a large Part of the Game are not necessarily high-resolution, but still serve their Purpose. The situation is Similar with the Music, which can still provide the necessary Effects. Final Word The Game is not for everyone. It employs an interesting Subject and performance-but is not for today'S bulk of the world'S Playymate, which is already completely blunted by superficial Themes. The Game is not a Masterpiece, but still recommended, especially for this Prize.
