Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED reviews

A Few years ago I was in front of the paccone of a score of Nancy Drew games in discount and I decided to take it. Next I completed the series here on Steam taking the remaining missing in the balances sessions. Eye Therefore, that the complete collection is not included in the whole pack, but the episodes after those of the collection must be bought apart. But Yesterday I decided to play the very first, considering that I wanted to buy the last three that I was missing and before doing the shopping I wanted a final reassurance. This is the first game of the "saga" of Nancy Drew, here sold in remastered version because apparently the first original is really too old and has been reproposed. A similar destiny is hoped for the second, but I think it will never come, it's been too long. These are investigative games where there is much to think about, discover, read and Arrovellarsi. Imagine the show "The Lady in Yellow" Transposto video game. Here, Nancy Drew is Our Lady in yellow, Jessica Fletcher, although she is still a young girl at the beginning of her investigative profession, and apparently also a beautiful chick, although at least in the first game you never see it (except in an image , but I did not understand if it really is her). And I have to say that it really amused me. Now, mind you, what do I mean by fun? It is an extremely short game, about 4-5 Orette, not many puzzles and graphics really so dated. So Many people will not like it, by definition (unfortunately). The Point is that it is riddles that could block someone even for much more time, if you do not confront them with a correct mental form, especially if you choose the initial difficulty from Senior detectives, without the slightest help on the agenda of the protagonist. In fact, she carries this book in which she takes notes on everything she observes and thinks, also reporting a checklist of successive actions to undertake. In case of a Senior difficulty the check list is disabled so the player has to do it all by himself (and may have problems). However, at least in the first game the puzzles are not so difficult, even if in a case you have to squeeze the brains a little. The purpose is to find the culprit of a murder and in doing this you also have to question some suspects (they are very few people). Moreover every single action is fundamental to be pursued, because sometimes it triggers the next one. For example, if you do not find a certain message you can not investigate under an armchair that becomes clickable only if you find the message above... The moves are to boxes and the arrows on the screen show the location where you can head. In Some areas it is possible to look around 360 degrees, but with a "jerky" movement, that is not with continuity as if it were in a 3D world. There are essentially only three locations (a cottage, a local and a college). I Have to say that, as much as I'm technically poor, during the few hours of play I felt like I was really inside a typical American college. Perhaps also because of particular well-made, like the bookstore with books, some to read, posters hanging on the wall, announcements boards etc... If I am not mistaken is also one of the distinctive aspects of the series, namely the well-realized atmospheres, the feeling of being there, even if the environment is "old and bare of human beings" (there are no people around, except 3-4 stationary NPC). The game also includes a series of internal achievements (but not of Steam) that are shown only at the end, so wanting also has a certain degree of replay value. It's all in English, even in the dialogues, but fortunately these are always subtitled, so it will never escape anything. I recommend it and if you can take the Paccone: this should be one of the shortest, 5 pleasant hours. The parcel includes, I think, 23 games, a little more than 20 euros (during the discounts, however, otherwise the price leavened a lot). You Do the math. 6.5/10
