About

War is Hell. NecroVision is a first-person shooter that takes gamers across the frantic battlegrounds of World War I and into a dark underworld of vampires, demons and dark magic.
Seeking adventure, young American Simon Bukner joins the British army in war-torn Europe of 1916. During a particularly ferocious battle, Bukner and his battalion are pushed into a series of dark trenches where they encounter mysterious phenomenon. As they move through the labyrinth they discover that there is a greater evil hiding underneath the battle-fields of the Great War — an evil that is forcing its way into our world and threatens to wipe out humanity. In the depths of this newly discovered underworld, Bukner must confront the dark forces and fight for the survival of mankind.

  • Hordes of enemies that include humans, demons and vampires

NecroVision reviews and comments

A nice game that offers interesting ideas such as the sequence of combots (foot, weapon, baionette) that allows to earn adrenaline and thus use other kinds of powers such as slowing down time. The arsenal in arms is quite varied and allows to propose different styles of fighting according to the tastes (body to body, big gun) the scenario is quite basic and the character as well as the voices are unconvincing but it remains secondary because there is not really the interest since it is more of a pretext to degummer all the monsters and soldiers who pass. The game is not defect-free and suffers from collision problems with the elements of the scenery and the monsters as well as the fact of not being able to go back as we wish, (there are several areas to discover and when one misses an explosion blocking the passage or the door that closes behind you will prevent you from coming back) the atmosphere is when has it pretty nice and the correct graphics, dark scenery red sky and various enemies at the rendezvous. It is certainly not worth a painkiller but Necrovision offers an interesting alternative in the genre.

Farm 51 the Studio that has good ideas but is not able to perform them correctly on its games. Necrovision illustrates this perfectly. A FPS that is halfway between a painkiller and a Wolfenstein taking place for once in the 1st World War. We're going to be nice. This game will tear and will make us have a good time. But in the end the result proves to be very average or even limit disappointing. First of all, the game is very poorly optimized and suffers from many bugs and other crashes while the game is clearly not a graphic slap even for 2009. Then the dubbing in French is just horrible with exaggerated limit accents. Finally, the AI is average as well as the story that would have deserved a little more depth in my opinion. Yet this game has a good idea: by its gameplay, with the adrenaline and the glove of shadow (which would have deserved a little effort) but also with the body to body (if you want to give shovels or baits in the trenches this game is made for you s). by its immersive side, at least in the first part with the trenches, arms and letters of hairy. By its lifespan, with a campaign at twelve o'clock (that one wants it to end quickly) that is prolonged by challenges. But also by its difficulty albeit limit abused in normal by the abundance of enemies in the second part. In short, I personally retained more the flaws of the game than its qualities. That is why I do not recommend this game.
