Night Mysteries: The Amphora Prisoner
About
Genre
Old-school 3D adventure in the best traditions of the genre
Story
Natalie, a young writer, is late for her motor ship that was to take her home to America. However, at the port she meets the captain of the cargo ship that by a lucky chance sails to the same destination. The captain invites her to sail with them, and Natalie agrees. If she only knew how this voyage would change her life. It is all about the item from a mysterious antique collection on board.
Gameplay
You'll enjoy a whole lot of fascinating minigames, an excellent quest for the necessary items, and a captivating and outstanding storyline. The game implements some really diverse minigames, including the simple ones that employ your reaction and speed, as well as games with an innovative, but intuitive gameplay. Game puzzles and quests are extremely logical, and they don't irritate the player by making them take the most unobvious actions to solve them. A great atmosphere and storyline provide the deepest possible gameplay involvement.

Conditional Recommendation, not the Yellow from the Egg, but still playable.
It's Adventure with a few Hidden Object Scenes in between. I find the History of the Game quite interesting.
What struck me negatively: Things you can pick up are not displayed with another Cursor or highlighted elsewhere, so you have to click around.
Then there are a few Translation errors like "I'm only getting the Steering Wheel on in an Emergency." You can also sometimes go to areas that you usually have to go to at a different Time.
Then I noticed Logic errors, once there is a Fire Extinguisher on the Ship, but instead you take a Bucket of Seawater to Extinguish the Fire and then you need a pointed object to cut up an Image, in the first aid kit lies a Taschemesser, but this one is not used.
Some Mini-games I also find quite fiddly.

In itself, the Game is good, but unfortunately it also makes a lot of things wrong from my Point of view. In the Game, in my opinion, there are too many and too long loading Screens, which should not actually exist in a Hidden Object Game. Add To that the story's really poorly implemented narrative, which has to go without Setting, even in English, there are none. The Narrative is told by drawn Cutscenes, a German Subtitle is present. But this is so boring staged, so I skipped the Cutscenes quite early in the Game. Also some Mini-games such as Getting water out of the Sea to extinguish a Fire, steering the Ship around some Riffs around it or the Mini-game at The Fuse box are either just shamed or annoying. There are also beautiful Moments in the Game, such as the Hidden Object Scenes and the beautifully drawn scenes. However, due to the very boring Narrative of the Story, the Game becomes, from my Point of view, inconsequential. And as good as some Puzzles are, they can't save the Game either.
