You are stationed on a Moon base. As the only survivor of humanity, you need to save your home by going back. Thankfully, the Moon is full of chrono-particles - time altering particles. Because of that, the base is mostly used for time-travel experiments. Maybe you could use the time machine to go back and warn Earth?
