Outland reviews

The artstlye is definitely most of its charm, but the game holds up pretty well
A bit clunky but the color mechanic is great

Outland a 2D Jump & Run, with very many small and large Puzzles where you were too easy to Spin Around, but more on that later. First of All and the most Important thing, I would like to recommend this Game further, have always played it to 2 and was really much Fun to bounce through the Levels to climb/. The Art-style (Graphics) is very nicely done, beautiful to look at and the Soundtrack can be seen, there are boss fights And the Checkpoints are also generously set. The Only Thing that really excites in the Game is definitely the Controls even with the Controller it is sometimes very spongy and immature, which really often became a frustration and you Would like to throw your Controller right across the Bude, or best of all from the Windows, once during the Boss Fight. However, this is the only negative Criticism I have found so far, which is why I recommend the Game with a good Heart, whether it be for 10 Euros or back then in the Sale for less.

Product received for free I have now spent almost four Hours with the Game and do not find it very appropriate. A Bsp: I'm in front of a Spot where the Wall can be broken "only" with a Bomb. Sun. I have no Idea how this is done and have probably spent several Deaths trying to understand the Tactics here but broke off the Game afterwards because it really wasn't Fun anymore. Much is similar, always these Animals, Enemies and these Places with the Lights where you use blue and red correctly. In the Beginning I found it interesting, but by now it's really No longer fun. Too bad actually, because I made the first Boss and I found it difficult in part because I hadn't understood how to weaken it. Nevertheless, after many Deaths, I got it and got it done. Great Thing, but in itself I wouldn't want to invest my Money for such a Game, although the Graphics are "discreet" but beautiful. In Any case, there are more sensible or better Games with the Money that can be exploited;)

Challenging and handsome Platformer that offers a high degree of variation with successive Unlockable Abilities, many hidden Collectibles and challenging Levels. Too far apart control/checkpoints, which also do not take into account already completed opponents, frustrate in places – especially in the final and Multi-phase Boss Fight I could have bitten with Frustration in the table edge. In Fairness, however, I have to Say that these Design Flaws are limited and I usually caused unnecessary Frustration myself: With my Clumsiness and Impatience. In the End, I had a mostly fun twelve Hours with the Story mode. Those who do not collect all The signs of the Gods and Money Vases can certainly complete the Game in Half the Time. After that, cooperative and arcade modes await. For some to know for sure still useful: The Game is artificially limited to 60 fps. Since the Physics and other Elements are linked to the Frame rate, lifting the Limit is neither possible nor recommended. However, I Didn't find this to be detrimental or conspicuously disturbing in this Game. (My Rating refers to the Linux implementation, played under Manjaro and with Xbox One controller.)
