About
The Steam Special Edition contains alternate textures for the Counting House and Cog ship type.
Patrician IV is the sequel to the historical trading simulation and strategy series. You are a merchant in northern Europe in the late Middle Ages when the Hanseatic League was flourishing. Your goal is to rise to the most successful and influential member of the Hanse, ultimately being elected Elderman, leader of the trading league. You start bargaining with common goods, build up your own production and establish a merchant fleet. Later on, you will gain more and more political influence and even found new towns.
However, a Hanse merchant's life can also have its dark sides. On your way to power you have to hold your ground against fierce rivals, whom you have to fight with economic competition, price wars or impure means such as sabotage. Will you even engage in piracy?

I really like Port Royale 3. So It's no Wonder I really liked Patrician IV too-the Game could be the Europa playing Brother of Port Royale. Same Developer, same Look, same gameplay but with its own Charm.
Unfortunately, the Game didn't go round with me. Flickering the Map, Freezes, crashes. These Mistakes make the Game unplayable for me.
I don't know why-because the Game is soon six Years out as, on Windows 10 or on my PC. However, caution should be exercised when Buying.

Very Good game of simulator of trade, better than the previous ones, but it remains the same and without translating.
Like many other games on steam, do not translate into Spanish, in some aspects of the game, even if you speak English perfectly, can get tired. The game becomes very repetitive and limited, as in the previous games of the saga, if it is true that they have improved considerably in the graphic section. Therefore I do not recommend buying it if you have played the previous versions of Patrician 2 or 3, is more of the same.

I Bought this game a couple of years ago or more, I don't remember, and I left it for later. Now that I decided to play it, it does not leave me because according to the records of KALIPSO Media, my key (provided through Sream) "is already in use". It'S a nuisance to waste time and money on a paranoid business game. With Anna-Extended Edition, another game of this company and bought through Steam, I have the same problem. From now on I will not buy anything from Kalipso Media.
UPDATE: Investigating The forums of both games I discovered and found that when you disconnect from the Internet, these blissful games work and your game can be recorded without problems. Unfortunately every time I play I have to repeat some initial configurations etc, but it is better than nothing.

Juegazo. For Those who have played in the past to Patrician III, without doubt the best of the saga and unsurpassed, this new adapcion in my opinion is magnificent. It Fits the perfection in what it sought, to take back the patrician but without as much complexity as the Patrician III.
It Is Simpler, more dynamic, more intuitive and the menus of trade and options are improved. Since I do not have the time I had when I played the PIII, I found intelligent on the part of the creators to reduce to some degree the complexity and make it more dynamic.
I totally Recommend this new delivery. Those who have played and have the PIII as one of the great strategy/trade games, will not disappoint you. The nostalgic must buy this game.
I Read a lot of negative comments because it is not translated into Spanish. In my opnion, the game is better in English and I recommend buying it in this language and the DLC Rise of a Dynasty.
