patterns vary
About
This is 'patterns vary', a new video game from Outhouse Media.
Recruited from a virtual reality course in the Heartland, this exhibition takes viewers on a epic tour of the Ohio reclamation project that transformed the current industrial landscape of central Ohio. Pioneering thinkers and artists were sent on a short tour of the site to see how a simple building "could be erected" using nothing but wood, concrete, and even a little ingenuity.
The first thing you see when you enter is Publix alone - a "point and shoot" store that is:
an armored animal with an 8-foot barbed wire fence
overturned cars
a superconducting magnet
a lab with polarizing lights inside that a chainsaw can be suspended from
a wooden spade
a hobo camp
