PicoWordle

After rolling out PicoFlap I wanted something else to carry on the momentum, after trading wordle scores with my good buddy jdp, he suggested I try remaking it in Pico.

After a bit of googling I managed to find a 2499 strong 5 word list that I managed to stick into an empty project with plenty of characters/tokens left to build the game around.

If you've been hiding under rock and never played wordle its basically the board game mastermind but with a 5 letter word, you enter your guess at the random word (using arrow keys and the Z key O for pico 8) to enter letter by letter; followed by the green arrow to enter or the red arrow as backspace.

You are presented with either GREY for a wrong letter entirely, a YELLOW for a correct letter in the wrong place or a GREEN for a correct letter in the correct place, do note that some words so have multiple occurances of the same letter i.e. ALLOW, and you'll be graded accordingly depending on your attempt.

I did want to stick some extra game modes (playing a seeded game, endless, time attack etc) in there but the compressed cart size got real close to its limit, I'd have got this out sooner but I spent too long on the little graphical touches and got a bit frustated the word list is nowhere near as exhaustive as wordles but there isn't much I can do about that!.

Added some sounds; checking attempts against the world list and some nice gameover/victory screens and we're done in a few hours spread across two and a bit weeks!.
