Planet Protector (LokaFab)

Defend yourself from the endless waves of enemies. Build ships to command and protect humanity's newest colony!

This project is a "Work in progress". More ships and stations will be added. There will be missions, more races, diplomacy, dynamic events for the player, or other AI factions to participate in, and much more.

How to play:

• Before you start playing set the number of sectors you wish to be generated. 
• Control your ship's movement with W, A, S, D, or the arrow keys.
• Control the rotation of the ship with your mouse. 
• Fire your main weapon with your left mouse button and your secondary (rockets) with your right mouse button.
• To make your rockets lock on to an enemy, select it by holding left-Ctrl + left-click on the target. You can select friendly ships/planets the same way. To select multiple friendly ships hold control while dragging the selection box over the desired ships.
• To construct ships, your planets need resources that you get from asteroids. When you have enough resources select one of your planets and a build menu will appear. Click on the fighter to put it into the build queue.
• If you press E you change your ship with the first one in selection.
• To exit the game press left-shift + escape 

You can also command your ships!

• When you have ships selected you can right click onto an empty piece space to issue a move order, if you right click over an asteroid or an enemy, an attack order is given, if you click on yourself or a friendly ship a defend order is given.
• By pressing escape, you reset the selection mode.

Keyboard AI commands:

0: Reset AI
1: Follow
2: Gather resources
3: Transfer resources between planets
4: Patrol current sector
5: Explore space
