Plasma Storm

An arcade survival shooter, with a focus on bullet hell and stacking a bunch of powerups to counter ever-increasing enemy firepower.

Gameplay

Enemy ships will spawn endlessly from their portals with the sole goal to blow you up. Powerups are here to help you survive. Collect yellow stars to regain health, green stars to also summon a friendly ship, and blue stars to expand and improve your arsenal.

Controls

• ZQSD - Move
• Spacebar - Swap between ZQSD, WASD, and Arrow Keys control schemes
• P - Rudimentary pause
• R - Restart game
• Mouse - Aim and shoot
• 0 - Toggle fullscreen
• 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: Adjust scale. (It is recommended to play at scale 2 or 3.)
• Escape - Exit

Tips

• Shoot enemy missiles to destroy them.
• Boomerang attacks will come back, even when they leave the screen. Pay attention to where they disappear.

Known bugs

• Missiles cannot always be destroyed.
• On rare occasions, enemies may not pick a target.

The game has had absolutely no playtesting. It may contain more bugs, and it is definitely unbalanced. Your feedback is valuable!

Post-Jam changelog

• Picking up a blue star will no longer crash the game.
• Some portals no longer disappear without spawning an enemy ship.
• Powerups can no longer be unreachable.
• HP gain from powerups is no longer unlimited.
