Pokémon Legends: Arceus reviews and comments
Kinda a let down considering it took me like a year to get around to it. I didn't really enjoy the core gameplay loop after the first few hours and although there were some interesting concepts, the game just fell flat in my opinion. Also it's ugly as sin :(

A slow start eventually opens to the kind of open world almost-Skyrimmy Pokemon of my dreams where I can run around and throw pokeballs at as many of the flora and fauna as I possibly can while my trusty Cyndaquil bides his time waiting for the next battle. Supreme wholesome fun that adds a new way to enjoy Pokemon without it being either too dumb OR serious for the 40 year old kids who just want to flood forums with how much they know about Pokemon. My mother only plays Pokemon Go but still remembers her favorites from the original series when it first came out this way - one would rank her level of interest or fan obsession lower than others - and she was immediately captured by this, proving that while it may not be the hardcore traditional new generation Pokemon people have been waiting for, it's an accessible new entry that gets old fans' appetites wetted while opening the lobby doors and graciously beckoning in new ones. And it's easily a must play for the Switch.
