I´ve played them all but PS is definitely the best 4X game ever. A perfect blend of complexity and smooth gameplay, time-honored mechanics and innovation. There´s the old "choose-leftclick/target-rightclick-routine" but also a lot of unusual features. Most important: It´s realtime, no tax-rates or other over the top micromanagment and no tech-trees. Don´t worry, you can do research and set priorities but its a more realistic approach. Instead of every single egghead in your empire researching fire-proof underwear a multitude of different projects are in progress at the same time. The most outstanding feature is diplomacy. Sadly most 4x games are obsessed with EXTERMINATE. Diplomacy is generally reduced to other races making outragous demands and declaring war if you don´t comply. I played MOO recently and deinstalled it after 3 matches. Sooner or later I was at war with every sentient being and had to commit multiple genocide in every game. Okay, it´s just a game but there must be more to life than vaporising fleets and obliterating planets. And it´s boring and repetitive to fight hundreds of space-battles against braindead opponents who mindlessly attack your 30 000+ strength strongpoints with a few 800 strenght frigates every other round. It´s not satisfying at all to rule supreme over a galaxy devoid of life. I don´t enjoy exterminate, otherwise I would have signed up with the Daleks long ago. There´s so much more diplomacy in PS has to offer. The animated alien ambassadors are the best you have ever seen. They are so lifelike and realistically animated that the diplomacy screen is like interplanetary skyping. Contacting the Magellans feels like chatting with your new blue-skinned girlfriend. And I like the Terran, too. It´s not the boring overused anglo-american military stereotype but a nerdy bureaucrat. And there are space-coalas. Great stuff indeed! Highly recommendable!

What a Game. Now I played over 30 Hours at a time and it was really addictive. One leaves here an almost divided Opinion of Reviews. For the best Gaming Experience, It's best to take small Cards, because if You take 900 Systems, you actually have way too much to do and don't get forward properly. In addition, it can happen That you do not get an Advantage from it, but the other Breeds take advantage of it. It's like this right now, Enemies can start right in your Environment, if You're at a Dead end, You can expand badly in the Beginning. In addition, You should Exhibit the Pirates for a better Gaming Experience, they are usually inept. If You want a complete Let's Play, You can check out my 6 Parts of Polaris Sector. "The Beginning" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKvv2vX1xBU "Here we are" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWIFd4T7xLM "Attack" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUUuHRxlCdM "Discovery" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbVa028E67U "Conquest" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOzXr7yDVxA "The End" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUhFtj14HHg Here's my Rating in a 1 To 5 scale. Graphic: 3/5 It is purposefully good and fulfills everything you need for a 4X Space Game. The Battles look good. The Ship models are great and the Breeds are neat. Sound: 3/5 The Sound of the Game is nothing special, everything sounds neat. Nothing annoying included. Music: 5/5 I like the Music, It is fitting and very sonorous. Praise to the Composer. Gameplay: 4/5 in the Beginning bock-heavy, long-lasting games, Micromanagement is possible, You can also automate a lot. If you get the card Setting wrong, you're disappointed with the Game. There is still room for Improvement here. Story: 4/5 Yes there is a Story that completes the Game, you can achieve several Goals. Everyone should find out for themselves or anyone who wants to see a Spoiler watches my last Video. So now something special, there are games you play once and have enough of them. This Game doesn't, you can play it many more Times. I'm gone:)
