On Thasys, the living beings rely on Mana to survive.
This magical energy is slowly disappearing from the world and entire nations fight over the last sources of Mana. Somewhere, legendary creatures sleep an ageless slumber and keep in their heart the original Mana source.
Only a few chosen ones can awaken these guardians and guide them to save Thasys. They are the witnesses of a dying world, the last hope of the livings.
They are the PRODIGIES.
Prodigy is a head to head tactical roleplaying game with mixed turn based and realtime multiplayer action, pitting your heroes against those of your friends or online opponent with match-making and ranked play. A deep and intense tactical game system makes the game complex and interesting at its core because of several possibilities and combinaisons between characters and their powers, yet easy to learn and understand.
GAME MODES: Player Versus Environment (PvE)
BASTION MODE
In Bastion mode, players fight waves of enemies controled by the AI. A true challenge, this mode is for the players who like difficulty. Players’ results are saved and displayed on a world leaderboard and a friends leaderboard. With the Bastion mode, players can try specific characters. Most notably, new and soon-to- be-released characters can be discovered this way, allowing players to actually try them out to get the deepest strategic experience possible. In Bastion mode, players unlock regular new contents: new creatures, new arenas, achievements, lore and storyline.
GAME MODES: Player Versus Player (PvP)
RANKED MULTI
Ranked mode allows players to compete online on a world ladder, based on a ELO ranking. Thus, competitive players can play against players with the same level.
UNRANKED MULTI
The player can play against other online players, without any consequences on his rank. This game mode is perfect for those who want to try new characters, new strategies without risk.
PLAY AGAINST A FRIEND
This mode allows the player to play against a friend. The game doesn’t have any consequences on his ranking.
A GAMEPLAY SYSTEM FOCUSED ON TACTICS
Each character has their own specific abilities, animations and vfx. Different characters to combine their abilities and to counter other players. Each character will extend the number of the player’s tactical choices. Character's abilities can be used in solo Bastion mode and multiplayer modes.
COMBAT SEQUENCE OVERVIEW
Fighting mechanisms are the same for PvP and PvE. The experience is shared between every game mode. The player can earn and spend their experience points both in PvE and PvP. Thus, a player can move from one game mode to the other very easily. During a Fight, two teams face each other.
FIGHTS WORK ON A DYNAMIC TURN BASED SYSTEM:
While a player attacks, the other player defends or prepares a counter-attack. This system makes the game very dynamic. Positioning becomes a key-composant of the fights. It can change who the character is currently targeting and the might of their attacks. Special area influence the fight greatly: among other things, they allow characters to launch special abilities but can also give them bonuses or misuses. Each character has different Special Skills. These skills are powerful and unique (alteration of areas, attack with Area of Effect, heal on allies, etc.) To trigger them, the player must place their character on a Harmony or Dissonance area.
HARMONY and DISSONANCE:
A real mind game with two types of magical energy on Thasys.
Harmony: actions are predictable and without any danger for the character who uses it.
Dissonance: effects are always stronger but dangerous and unstable for their user.
Every action can be triggered with either Harmony or Dissonance.
CREATURES AND THE CREATION OF HARMONY AREA
Creatures are magical entities who channel the magical energy of the world of Thasys. At the end of his turn, if the Creature acts in Harmony, it creates a Harmony area.
THE DISSONANCE HAS STRONGER EFFECTS BUT COMES WITH MANY DANGERS
Each time the player uses the Dissonance, a Dissonance area is created. On these areas, the player cannot use their abilities in Harmony. Characters are forced to use Dissonance, and then, to create a new Dissonance area. Also, each time the player uses Dissonance, there is a risk that an Explosion of Dissonance occurs. The chances an Explosion occurs increase with the number of Dissonance areas. The Explosion destroys every Dissonance areas on the player’s side and deals high damages. The amount of damages depends on the number of destroyed areas.
AFFINITY DEFENSE and AFFINITY ATTACK
Each character is linked to a magic Arcana. They have an Affinity with this Arcana.
During the Defense Sequence, the player can use Affinities to protect several characters at the same time. During the Attack Sequence, the player can also use Affinities to trigger secondary attacks at the same time.
REINFORCEMENT
The player can add new characters during a fight. They simply have to be placed on Harmony areas during the player’s turn. The Harmony areas are then destroyed.
VICTORY
Victory conditions depend on the Game mode.
In Bastion mode, The player might have to vanquish all their enemies to end the fight.
In PvP fights, the victory is determined by a Victory Point system. The player loses a Victory Point when one of their character dies. This Victory Point system has been conceived to balance teams of different size.

Early access review-I know the game is still in early but I expected much better.
-I run the game and I already see that there is the bug of the green screen (which seems very common) and I find a solution to the problem on the Forum; Spend.
-At this point, I am asked to create an account to play the game and I am the tutorial (quite boring since once you learn a concept of gameplay, we must finish the game by killing the three Grelins...) and there are a handful of notions in the tutorial either a lot of matches to finish just for the tutorial.
As for the positive, the graphics are really superb, nothing to complain about the above and the characters seem all quite different but despite everything, I remain dissatisfied with the game at the moment because in half an hour of play, I had the feeling that It was a game that I could play some speed from time to time and not a game that would allow me to have hours of varied fun. As for the roster of characters, it's still weak.
As it is, I do not recommend it but my opinion is to take with tweezers since I played only half an hour but it seemed very monotonous unfortunately. I would have greatly preferred that we have a level of account and that by using the characters, we gradually unlocked their powers, their tricks or even that we can customize a minimum to promote certain traits to make the experience more unique.
