On my current MBA, the game runs fluidly at 1024 x 768, although here is just an Intel HD Graphics 3000 included. The fan is indeed fast at the stop, but with earphones strts not further :)
At the time, I did not hear the first release, so I'm very excited about the content. I'm still not quite through, but think it's funny and with a little bit of superiority to master. Sometimes it is not that easy to control with the trackpad or the mouse (for example when hovering in the disco) but with a bit of practice you can get through it as well.

It's a shame that Psychonauts barely found buyers when it first appeared a few years ago - such an original, varied and lovable action-adventure / jump'n'run game can not be found that fast any second time. Technically it is unchanged compared to the original, but due to the loving presentation is not a broken leg. I did not experience any crashes while playing, only the menu for the controller support is not completely error-free: it took some attempts to configure the controller correctly. But that does not really affect the Spielspa.
If you haven't played this game in the past it would be a bit harder to recommend this game to you. Don't get me wrong, it's very funny in its character design, writing, it has very imaginative levels and level design sprinkled with a good story, but at the same time, it has by today's standards bad controls, finicky camera, and bad design choices. One which immediately comes to mind is when progressing through the story you come to a point where an optional item from the store is mandatory to pass through the story. So I had to exit the level and farm arrowheads through the camp so I could buy it, then get back to the level and resume the plot. There are plenty of obtuse design choices like that and there were plenty of moments there I died because of bad controls or camera angles, but this game has a heart and I can't deny that. Try it, but know what you get yourself into!
